SEVEN Days of Savings!!

I can't believe it's already the beginning of the fourth week of summer for me. Time flies by way too fast! Thankfully, I've been writing great ideas down and have already been shopping for a lot of fabulous things for my class next year. I'm pretty sure nearly every teacher does that the second they go on summer break. We just can't help it. We love what we do. and we get excited about all the wonderful things that will take place in the future.

That being said, I have decided to have a week's worth of deals in my TpT store. I will have 6 heavily wish listed items on sale for 50% off from Sunday-Friday, and to celebrate Independence Day my entire store will be 20% off on Saturday only. Click on any of the pictures below to be taken to the item on my TpT store. The schedule will be as follows:

June 28th: Fairytale PBL

June 29th: Bright Teacher Survival Binder 2015-2016

June 30th: Schedule Cards in Blue

July 1st: Class Decor Bundle in Teal/Yellow/Gray

July 2nd: Land of the Free U.S. Symbols Activities

July 3rd: Bright Library Labels
July 4th: Entire store 20% OFF

Happy shopping! Don't forget to leave feedback on your purchased items. It's always greatly appreciated :)

Five for Friday

Alright, this is my first Five for Friday link up. I'm rather excited because I love talking about random things :)

So I've had Gilmore Girls on my watch list on Netflix forever now. I've pushed it aside because it's a longer series, and I typically like the ones that I can watch quickly and remove from my list. For all my Type A people, you understand how important it is to have a list (even on Netflix) and getting through that list. I started about a week ago, and I'm almost done with season 2. Oh the joys of having summers off so that I can binge watch all the TV shows I've been slacking on.

For the end of this week and into the weekend, I've been charged with watching my sister's dog, Logan. He isn't exactly a fan of my dog, Niko, because of his size and his playfulness. THANK goodness these two have played nicely for the last couple of days. I hope I can survive until Sunday. Two dogs certainly is a handful when you live on your own!

I've been meaning to replace my TPT store picture with a button. I'm so picky with certain things that I pushed it aside simply because I couldn't decide on the colors. I finally chose to stick with the colors that I will be using in my classroom this year: teal, yellow, and gray. I'm happy with the way it turned out for the time being. There's always room for improvement.

Being a new blogger can be pretty difficult. I started in March but really didn't pick up the pace until the end of the year. All teachers know that things start to get a little crazy around April. I had my hand in so many things at school and was dealing with Niko's seizure episodes that I just couldn't keep up for awhile. To help alleviate that problem, I have downloaded free blogging covers that you can grab here. I already have some calendar pages but needed something cute to spruce it up. I'm hoping this will help keep me on the ball and be more diligent with posting regularly.

Last, but not least, I've been enjoying the TpT Seller Challenge. Maybe a little too much. My beginning stats made me a little sad, but considering I haven't been in the TpT game for too long, I'm not too terribly upset now. I find myself almost going into overdrive because of the ideas and inspiration that I have been getting from it. My desk looks completely atrocious with the number of post-its that I have with the random ideas that I've come up with. I'm contemplating getting some sort of calendar or notebook to keep all of my ideas contained for a cleaner work space. It's been a fun journey so far. I've learned so much in such a short period of time, and I can't wait to see what the next couple of weeks hold!

Happy Friday, all!

Blog Lovin

I joined Blog Lovin!

So, I'm pretty new to the blogging world. I just created a Blog Lovin account, and I'm excited to see how things go with it.

I'm loving blogging so far, but there are still a ton of things for me to learn. You can clearly see that my blog design is a little drab. At this point, it's not exactly in my budget to spend top dollar on a custom blog design, so I've chosen to stick to a free design for the time being. I'm not totally in love with the one I have right now, so I was wondering if any of you knew of any good quality free blog layouts?

Dream Big!

I'm extremely happy about this week's TPT challenge. The awesome ladies that put this seller challenge together have asked us to share what we want to get out of being a TPT seller. This is my list, in short.

CAR: I recently purchased a new Jeep Compass a few months ago. I have never 100% owned a car, and would love to start off with this one. It's been a great vehicle so far, and I hope it lasts me a long time!

HOUSE: My original intention in my TPT endeavor was to save for a house. I've been in an apartment for two years, and it is driving me NUTS. I love not having to pay for maintenance or little things that can go wrong, but having a house has always been one of my biggest dreams. Unfortunately, I've had to put off saving for a house because of my last TPT dream.

NIKO: My dog, Niko, was diagnosed with epilepsy in May 2014. He had a couple of really bad seizures in May and June but didn't have any for a good 6 months. Then, in December he all of a sudden started having episodes of cluster seizures, so he would have 2-3 within a few minutes. In the last 6 months he has had upwards of 30-40 seizures. If he has a cluster of more than 3 within 24 hours it is deemed an emergency. Well, we've had 3 ER visits since February, and let me tell you, they are NOT cheap. Needless to say, this whole situation has been a bit of a financial burden for me. Niko is only 2 1/2, so I expect things like this to be happening for many years to come. It is both emotionally and financially draining, but I love my dog like a child, so I would do anything for him. I hope that my earnings from TPT will help me offset the expensive costs of vet and ER visits so that I can save for my other dreams as well.

I have already experienced a lot of success since starting this challenge, and I can't wait to see what the next few weeks hold for me!

Makeover Madness

I have officially finished the first task of the TpT Seller Challenge. I did choose to edit my Apple Activities product. It was one of my very first products, and I love every activity it has. However, the cover was very drab and in great need of an update. I completely changed up the cover with a different background, frame, clipart, and fonts. Click on the picture below to grab the updated version. Half off until the end of the week!

I can't wait to find out next week's challenge!
