I used to be completely, utterly obsessed with Grey's Anatomy. I sort of fell off the bandwagon a few years ago. Didn't care too much about what happened or who died, but everyone has been talking about it recently. I realized that there's no way I can leave it unfinished. No. Way. I am very much a make a list and check it off type of person. It leaves me searing inside to know that I have 3 seasons to catch up on before I have caught up. So, I have watched 1.5 seasons in the last 3 days. I don't even feel bad that I've seemingly wasted several days. Nope. Not one bit. Because I'm on summer vacation, and I deserve to selfishly binge watch my favorite TV shoes for the next 2 months! :)

As teachers, we all know that summertime isn't JUST for binge watching all the TV. It's also a time to read every book you wanted to during the year but never had the time to. I have been known to have book ADD, so that certainly doesn't help my case. I have never been able to finish a book without reading another one in the process, so it usually takes me a million years to finish one book. I am so happy because I have finally finished:

Now onto:

I would absolutely love, love, love any book suggestions for anything you're currently reading. Some of my favorite books have been suggested by teachers.

Summer is also a time to stock up on all the cute teacher things that everyone posts on Instagram and Facebook. It's so hard not to fall victim to the Target Dollar Spot and Big Lots, but alas I cannot resist. Thankfully, I haven't poured too much into my summer haul, though I'm sure that's about to change very quickly. Here's what I've got so far. I also managed to snag a bunch of the adhesive label pockets. Not a clue what I'm going to do with half of these things, but I'm sure I'll figure something out!

YALL! Next Monday and Tuesday, I get to experience Get Your Teach On with some of THE most incredible teachers on the planet. I am really looking forward to having an abundance of knowledge thrown my way. I'm especially excited to learn everything I can about third grade. I am confident that the amazing teachers of Texas will help me out more than I can imagine.

  1. I loved Gone Girl. I recently read Girl on a Train and found it to be captivating. I LOVE to read but I suffer a bit of book ADD as well... I usually have about 3 books going at once- one for pure enjoyment (usually a romance), one for personal growth (nonfiction) and one for professional growth.

  2. All those books are great! I'm reading Fates and Furies right now and can't put it down!

  3. I also recommend Girl on the Train if you liked Gone Girl. And the movie is coming out soon for it too! Have a great weekend!
